National Theatre Connections 2017
Event type:
Thursday, April 20, 2017 - 00:00 to Saturday, April 22, 2017 - 23:30

This is a celebration of young people, theatre-making and the importance of access to the arts. Each year the National Theatre commissions ten new plays for young people to perform, bringing together some of the most exciting writers with the theatre-makers of tomorrow.

We welcome 6 groups from across South Wales alongside our own Sherman Youth Theatre, who between them will perform 5 of the plays over three days.

With 28 local festivals taking place across the country, Connections is an unforgettable feast of theatre made by and for young people.

‘We think it's vital that young people, wherever they are in the country and whatever their future path, have a chance to get involved in theatre.’ Rufus Norris, National Theatre Artistic Director
