'Llafur - Imaging the Labourer' is an insightful exhibition celebrating the labourers that Josef Herman encountered during his travels around the world, this includes the collier - who he held in deep regard. "It would be true to say that the miner is the walking monument to labour" - so concluded the artist Josef Herman, the centenary of whose birth we celebrate in 2011.

UK artists are invited to submit sculptural proposals for an exhibition to be held in the grounds of Kidwelly Castle, South Wales. The exhibition will run from June to September 2012.

On a damp but bright Welsh August weekend, twenty design enthusiasts met to create something - in the woods, out of the woods. Armed with tools, a pile of different local timbers and pockets full of energy, the teams created three beautiful interventions through collaborative design processes.

Jane Phillips passed away earlyer this year. Her family and friends have established a new fund in her name to help emerging artists at the beginning of their careers. On Saturday an art auction took place in Swansea significantly adding to this new fund - The Jane Philips Award.

In 2010/11 the arts sector in Wales came together at three major conferences in Cardiff, Swansea and Caernarfon to share ideas, ask questions and get practical tools for a more sustainable practice. Creative Practice for a Sustainable Future is the report resulting from these conferences.
