Mostyn gets ready for winter.

A Special Christmas Window will soon be seen in Llandudno inviting shoppers into the Mostyn's shop.

Wakefield based artist Andy Singleton has been commissioned to create a Christmas window display for the craft shop at the Mostyn. Andy’s unique paper ice cavern will be installed by 29 October and remain until 5 January 2011.

CAIRO STENCILS by Egyptian-Armenian artist Chant Avedissian will replace the Junkyard in the Oriel 5 space, opening on 20 November. Beautiful images, including this one of legendary Egyptian diva Om Kalthoum, the 'Star of the East' whose singing captivated the Arab world in the 50s, 60s and 70s.

   Andy's icicles look beautifully engineered, I'm looking forward to seeing them installed.
   I was lucky enough to see the Cairo Stencils at the Bluecoat earlier in the year, they're going to look great in gallery 5.
