Terry Jones at the National Library
7th April 2010
Ex-Python, historian, director and writer Terry Jones will be giving his acclaimed lecture on Medieval Lives at the National Library of Wales on the 14th April at 7.30pm.
Whilst best known as a member of Monty Python Terry Jones has also written historical texts and presented numerous TV documentaries including The Crusades, Ancient Inventions, Hidden Histories, Medieval Lives, Barbarians and the Welsh-based Great Map Mystery. His interest in the subject developed from reading Chaucer and he has spent much time since then denouncing the traditional historical view of the Middle Ages being a time of ignorance.
This is not Terry’s first visit to Aberystwyth, having attended a charity screening of Life of Brian with fellow ex-Python Michael Palin last year and he is looking forward to returning to Aberystwyth in slightly less controversial circumstances!
