The Future Generation Art Prize

The Future Generation Art Prize is a world-wide art prize of $100,000 US, Open to all artists up to the age of 35. The prize aims to discover and provide long-term support for a generation of emerging artists, wherever they may live and work, this unique artist-focused prize aims to make a major contribution toward the production of new work by young artists.
The prize includes: an exhibition of shortlisted artists at the PinchukArtCentre in Kiev.
The jury will select one main Prize winner, who will receive a total of $100,000 US ($60,000 US as a cash award, and $40,000 US toward the production of new work). An additional $20,000 US will be allotted to fund artist-in-residency programs for up to five other special prize winners. To encourage the exchange of skills and knowledge between one generation of artists and the next, a group of renowned Mentor Artists has committed its long-term participation in the Prize and will provide in-person counsel and support to the Prize winners. The Mentor Artists are Andreas Gursky, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons and Takashi Murakami.

first of all Happy New Year! Secondly we would like to remind you that the application procedure for the Future Generation Art Prize starts on 18 Jan 2010. Just visit the web-site of the Prize and apply. It's simple and it's open globally! There are no limitations to any media which the young artists work with - it can be painting, photo, video, installation, sculpture, performance documenting, etc... It's a great chance for you and us to support the new generation of artists so we look forward to see you works. On 18 Jan we will also announce the list of the International Jurors.
And we really hope that you will help us to deliver the info about the Prize worldwide! As there shouldn't be any national bounderies for the recognition of the talant!
