Perhaps best known for her collaborations with National Theatre Wales, Wales-based playwright Kaite O Reilly returns to South Wales with a brand new show, a unique collaboration between Welsh theatre company The Llanarth Group and theatre companies from Ireland, South Korea and Singapore.

Opening in Cardiff at Chapter Arts on 19 February, playingthe maids plays Cardiff, Brecon and Aberystwyth in a Wales only tour. Inspired by Jean Genet s famous play, The Maids, in which two sisters, maids in a wealthy household, murder their rich mistress and take on her identity, this new production explores issues of wealth inequality, power and privilege.
