Katerina Athanasopoulou,Winner of the 2013 Lumen Prize- editorial portrait The Lumen Prize is an international award that celebrates the very best fine art created digitally.This year'swinnerswere announced by artist Ifor Davies at an awards ceremony on 08 October, in the Queens Arcade, Cardiff, where the exhibition of the shortlisted artists' work is currently showing before touring to London and New York.The Lumen Prize winner isKaterina Athanasopoulou who wins $3000, for her time-based work, Apodemy. Runner-up Bonjour Interactive Lab win $1000 for the interactive work, Passage andfinalist Nicolas Feldmeyer wins $750 with a 2D work.With over 3,000 votes registered for The People's Choice,Ginevra Boni received the highest score from a month-long online contest for her 2D work, Wilderness.And finally The Lumen Prize Founder's Award has gone to Genetic Moo,a collaboration between Nicola Schauerman and Tim Pickup, for their interactive, time-based work, Mother.
