A site specific response whilst on a residency at the Biopharm Leech Farm in Hendy, Carmarthen. Having spent two weeks looking after the leeches, and breeding my own batch I began to understand the creatures. They are very maternal. The amazonian leech carries its young on it's back and allows them to feed of the parent. The leech farm is the epicentre of leech breeding. Wales provides Korea, South America and many other countries with the medicinal leech.

A medicinal leech bite is a loving one. They are used in hospitals to reinvigurate blood flow to a severed limb. 

During the hour long performance I breast fed a batch of leeches in an attempt to express my understanding of this creatures life giving attributes.
